(WHO KNEW NEWS) – Ayanna Williams has finally let go of her fingernails which gave her the Guinness World Records title in 2017 when they measured 18 feet and 10.9 inches — and required two bottles of nail polish. Williams broke that self record with her much longer nails that required three or four bottles of polish, before finally cutting them. She did not disclose the latest length, though.
Williams had her nails sawed off this month with an “electric rotary tool” with the help of Dr. Allison Readinger of Trinity Vista Dermatology in Fort Worth, Texas.
Doing daily tasks with such long nails gave the former record holder a difficult time moving around, that she had to be “very, very careful” so she won’t hurt herself with her nails or break them — the main reason why she finally cut them.
