Video shows woman punching church reader in face

(PENNLIVE) -- A Facebook Live video of a Catholic Mass in Philadelphia caught a woman punching a church reader twice in the face Sunday.

Police are now trying to find the suspect and are investigating the incident that occurred at the 11 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on the 1700 block of Race Street, NBC 10 is reporting.

The video shows the lector leaving the altar area as a woman waits for her, then punches her twice in the face. It’s not known what sparked the attack, reports indicate. The video shows the lector, who did not require medical attention, walking away after the attack. Gasps from the crowd can be heard echoing under the organ music.
