A trove of documents said to contain "damning" information about the Biden family's alleged influence peddling disappeared as it was being shipped across the country, according to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
The Washington Examiner reported a sourced turned over the documents to Carlson's staff in New York City.
Carlson was in Los Angeles to interview Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, and asked that the documents be shipped overnight to him.
The Fox News host said his team considered the documents to be "authentic" and "damning."
The package never arrived, and Carlson said he received a notification Tuesday morning from the shipping company that the envelope had been opened and the contents had "disappeared."

The shipping company, which he did not identify, was taking the incident seriously, he said.
The package was tracked from when Carlson's producer dropped it off in New York until 3:44 a.m. Tuesday.
Carlson said "an employee at a sorting facility in another state noticed that our package was opened and empty."
A security team's investigation failed to recover the missing documents, Carlson said.
The Examiner reported: "In his Monday interview with Carlson, Bobulinski said that he knew firsthand that Joe Biden was aware of his son's business dealings in China, a claim that the former vice president has denied. Before his interview, Bobulinski released a tranche of documents to the press, the FBI, and the GOP-led Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. A spokesman for Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of that panel, told the Daily Caller that all the materials reviewed so far have turned out to be legitimate. The committee has not said what materials it has reviewed so far, nor did it say whether the documents that have been validated proved any of the allegations made by Bobulinski."
