(JUST THE NEWS) -- Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer and 2022 Women's NCAA champion, is under fire after a photograph surfaced showing the former University of Pennsylvania athlete wearing a shirt with the phrase: "Antifa super soldier."

Thomas is pictured flashing a peace symbol while wearing sunglasses, a leather harness, black shorts and a black tank top with the phrase invoking the left-wing anti-fascist organization.

The Post Millennial reporter Andy Ngo posted the photograph of Thomas, which appears to be from an Instagram screenshot, on Monday, with the caption: "Trans violent militancy is the current focus of #Antifa. They believe that critics of trans ideology should be silenced, maimed or murdered. Some call for sexual violence against females in particular, as revenge."
