(JUST THE NEWS) – Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on Thursday ordered the Justice Department to release a redacted version of the affidavit that accompanied the search warrant the FBI used to search former President Trump's Florida estate.
Reinhart indicated he was satisfied with redactions the DOJ made due to security concerns with the document's public release.
“I find that the Government has met its burden of showing a compelling reason/good cause to seal portions of the Affidavit,” Reinhardt wrote, according to The Hill. The judge acknowledged the potential for a fully unredacted version to compromise the ongoing investigation by revealing crucial information.
