Jesus quotes directly from the Torah again, in His teaching on obedience and salvation. But how rarely is this quote identified as from Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Nehemiah and Ezekiel? Paul quotes this more than once.
The doctrine is, obey the commandments of God, and "thou shalt live." Of course, His hearers knew this was a matter of the "obedience of faith" which Jesus, the apostles and all the Scriptures taught from the beginning to the end.
Yes, this is a matter of salvation! This is a first-tier doctrine.
We are responsible to know and teach the truth, so let's look at this facet of JESUS TEACHING TORAH or Jesus' Doctrine of Torah.
Jesus taught the Torah from the beginning to end of his ministry. He commissioned his disciples to do the same.
The greatest threat to the body of Christ is the heresy of modern-day Marcionism: the "old" testament (the Law and the Prophets) was set aside and obedience to God's commandments in Torah were set aside or nullified.
If you have been deceived by this doctrine, please watch and comment. If you are teaching this doctrine, please watch and comment.
