With control of the Senate up for grabs, establishment media outlets have called the Pennsylvania race for Democrat John Fetterman over Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Fetterman, vying for a seat that was held by Republican Pat Toomey, declared victory with a lead of 49.8 to 47.8, with 91% of the vote counted.
The former mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, and current lieutenant governor suffered a stroke in May that clearly impaired his auditory and speaking abilities during the campaign.
In the final days before the election, Fetterman signaled that the outcome of his race might not be known for days as all the votes are counted. On Monday, after hiring controversial Hillary Clinton lawyer Marc Elias, he filed a federal lawsuit contending mail-in ballots with an incorrect or missing date should be counted.
If Fetterman is officially declared the winner, the Republicans' hope of winning back the Senate may rest with Herschel Walker in Georgia. But that race is too close to call and appears to be headed for a runoff Dec. 6.
In the early morning hours, Democratic Sen. Rafael Warnock took a narrow 49.42% to 48.52% lead, with 98% of the vote reported.
Warnock was one of two Democratic runoff winners in Georgia in January 2021 that enabled Democrats to take control of the Senate with 50 seats. Warnock is up for reelection because he is completing the term of Republican Johnny Isakson.
Warnock leads Walker by about 35,000 votes. The runoff would eliminate Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver, who has 80,895 votes.
"We're in a fight," Walker told supporters at his election party Tuesday night, urging them to "hang in there a little bit longer."
"We got more to say," Warnock told his supporters. "We always knew that this race would be close. And so, that's where we are. So y'all just hang in there. I'm feeling good."
Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson – a prominent critic of the pandemic response who is leading an investigation of the Biden family influence-peddling business – is ahead of Democratic Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes 50.7 to 49.1, with 89% of the vote counted.
Republicans are hoping for victories in Nevada, where Republican Adam Laxalt is challenging Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, and Arizona, where Republican Blake Masters is up against Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly.
As of 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, with 80% of the vote counted, Laxalt led 49.9% to 47.2% in the Nevada race. In Arizona, amid vote-counting delays in Maricopa County, Kelly had 51.4% to Masters' 46.4%, with 62% of votes reported.
Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida began Tuesday night's vote counts across the nation with a resounding 16-point victory over impeachment manager Rep. Val Demings.
Republicans apparently have held on to the retiring Sen. Richard Burr's seat in North Carolina. Ted Budd, with 93% of the vote counted, is the projected winner over Democrat Cheri Beasley, 50.7 to 47.1.
Republicans who have won reelection to the Senate include Mike Crapo in Idaho, John Kennedy in Louisiana, Jerry Moran in Kansas, Tim Scott in South Carolina, Rand Paul in Kentucky, John Boozman in Arkansas, Todd Young in Indiana, James Lankford in Oklahoma, John Hoeven in North Dakota and John Thune in South Dakota.
Rep. Markwayne Mullin won Oklahoma's other Senate seat, succeeding James Inhofe.
Newcomer Katie Britt, former president and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama, has retained a Republican seat in Alabama, defeating Democrat Will Boyd.
Democratic senators winning reelection include Alex Padilla in California, Chuck Schumer in New York, Chris Van Hollen in Maryland, Tammy Duckworth in Illinois, Richard Blumenthal in Connecticut and Michael Bennet in Colorado.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Leftwing billionaire George Soros bankrolls everything evil – most recently the 75 pro-criminal “Soros district attorneys” who have transformed America’s most dynamic cities into degraded, crime-infested hellscapes of skyrocketing violent crime. Soros also funds drug legalization, euthanasia, open borders, globalism, Black Lives Matter, “defunding the police,” devaluing America's currency and destroying her sovereignty. But why?
Whistleblower magazine reveals and explores the stunning truth: Soros, an atheist, literally says he’s “some kind of god,” obsessed with re-creating the world in his image. Here are a few actual quotes from Soros: “If truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood…” “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.” “You know, in my personal capacity I’m not actually a selfless philanthropic person. I’ve very much self-centered.” “I am kind of a nut who wants to have an impact.” “Next to my fantasies about being God, I also have very strong fantasies of being mad. … I have a lot of madness in my family. So far I have escaped it.”
Except he hasn’t “escaped it.” Not only is Soros totally mad, but he’s imposing his insanity on America. See Soros and the leftwing world he has created and funded as never before in “THE BILLIONAIRE WHO THINKS HE’S ‘GOD’: Why George Soros is obsessed with destroying America.”
