A consumer organization has launched a boycott of the Bed, Bath & Beyond store chain over its decision to drop the products created by MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell over his politics.
And its boasting that "dozens of shoppers" simply walked away from their shopping carts at the checkout counter for the corporation's outlet in Larkspur, California, on Tuesday.
Lindell, famous for his MyPillow guy ads on television, employs hundreds of people at his Minnesota plant operations that produce not only pillows, but mattress toppers, towels and much more.
He's been an ardent supporter of President Trump through his first term in office.
But Lindell has been under attack recently, including being banned from Twitter. Several store chains decided to discontinue carrying his products, with officials claiming it was because of demand levels.

"This isn’t about pillows. It’s about the continual punishment of conservative speech," Media Action Network founder Ken LaCorte said in his organization's announcement.
"And we’ve had enough."

He continued, "Every time we turn around, another conservative has been silenced under false pretenses of ‘hate’ or ‘isms’ or the most recent offense-de-jour. We’re fighting back."
The protesters left a $20 tip to checkers who rang up the abandoned carts.
And they left a statement for CEO Mark Tritton.
"Stop promoting 'cancel," they wrote. "You buckled to pressure, removing MyPillow products … because of Mike Lindell's politics. It's un-American."
"Our country was founded on the principle of free speech and open debate. These days, censorship and suppression are far too common, and you’re now part of the problem. You have that right, of course, but realize you’re antagonizing half of your customers. And Mark ... we’ve had enough. We’re tired of corporate big-shots looking down on our beliefs. Reverse this decision now and get out of politics, or we’re done with you forever."

There's also a petition heading toward 10,000 signatures allowing consumers to join the effort.
According to the Action Network report, "Dawn Rosenmayr, a real estate investor from San Francisco who joined the pushback told reporters, 'If you cancel one American, you cancel all Americans. That’s wrong. Mike Lindell was ‘cancelled’ because of his support for President Trump by Bed Bath & Beyond, Wayfair and Kohl’s. When did we lose our free speech rights?'"
