Decades ago there was a blockbuster bestseller called "The Peter Principle" by Lawrence Peter. The book made many people uncomfortable because they had to come to grips with something they knew intuitively but didn't like to admit. The book emphasized a profound but painful principle: People tend to advance based on their success in previous positions until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent.
The time has come to recognize reality: Joe Biden is maxed out and needs to resign. He's a career politician who has shown he is incapable of executing the demands of the most powerful position on the planet.
Joe is not a problem solver; he's ineffective, incompetent, inarticulate, diminished (struggling with dementia?) and doing damage to millions. Multitudes are aware he's not "driving the bus" but is an enabler for progressive Democrats. He ignored the counsel of his top generals (including Joint Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley) on Afghanistan. Now even former Obama officials have abandoned him as the situation in Kabul gets even worse.
Biden has the lightest schedule of any president in history and is embarrassing bumbling through teleprompted speeches making serious errors ("350 million Americans were vaccinated" but there are only 200 million possible!).
What is happening with Afghanistan is the latest in a string of disastrous decisions. One senator called it "an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions." It's time to stop the ruse, board Air Force One and return to Rehoboth Beach.
Afghanistan Disaster
Afghanistan as a developing country of 38 million people is no more. The Islamic flag is raised, and overnight it has become a terrorist haven for Taliban jihadists. Former CIA analyst Matt Zeller, said, "I am appalled. We sent them plan after plan on how to evacuate these people. Nobody listened to us." As of today there are still 40,000 Americans stranded as Biden went on vacation.
Afghanistan was the launchpad for the 9/11 attack and headquarters of Osama bin Laden, which was the reason Bush and Obama sent troops there. Trump established a conditioned withdrawal predicated upon a coalition government while retaining a residual "back up" force similar to that in South Korea, Japan and Germany. He told the Taliban, "When we leave if you return, we will kill you and your soldiers (using drones and air power)."
The Taliban, like China, Russia and Iran, knew he meant business. He had eliminated ISIS. They also know Biden is a weak leader and easy to exploit. China also knows this as they threaten Taiwan.
Millions worldwide witnessed the takeover and the colossal failure of Biden in the tragic debacle. Our commander in chief, reading his prepared teleprompter statement, tried to appear steely-eyed and decisive, but it was, as he says, "a bunch of malarkey" as he blamed everyone but himself, saying Trump, the Afghan military and their government were responsible.
Even liberal TV commentators, who regularly do not provide coverage but rather cover for Biden, acknowledged Biden blew it badly in the humiliating tragedy.
One month ago, Joe authoritatively assured everyone this couldn't happen as the Afghan military was far superior to the Taliban's.
"Biden's Saigon" will be his legacy. The images of surging desperate people trying to escape the certain terror, torture, death, tearing apart of families and termination of human rights were chilling 50 years ago in Vietnam as history repeated itself in Kabul. Back then, however, it unfolded over two years (Communists eventually slaughtering a million Vietnamese); this time the Taliban took just a few days to take over!
This unspeakable tragedy was not a military but a political failure. Biden was briefed but demonstrated the same ineptitude he's displayed with the catastrophic mess he's caused in the unprecedented illegal-immigrant invasion nearing a million already this year. Harry Truman said it: "The buck stops here."
'Thrown to the Wolves'
Ponder: 2,300 lives and 21,000 wounded; the expenditure of $1–2 trillion taxpayer dollars; persecution of Christians and destruction of churches; initiatives stopped for women to attend schools. One Afghan declared, "America has thrown us to the wolves."
Approximately half the people is illiterate and live poorly. Untold numbers of men, interpreters and teachers will be executed; women and young girls raped and enslaved as wives to Taliban jihadists; families will be shattered; Christians will be subject to forced conversions or beheadings. This preventable brutality and blood bath belongs to Biden.
Over 2,000 Taliban criminals with hearts of vengeance and hatred for the United States will be released from prisons, ready to die to achieve their afterlife reward.
Thousands of pieces of costly American equipment (weapons, drones, Humvees, trucks, tanks and computers) now belong to terrorists now stronger than on 9/11.
A dagger again pierces hearts of the parents, spouses, children and maimed soldiers who sacrificed life and limb after the "day when everything changed."
What Biden has wrought
Just as there are greater and lesser rewards for Christians, so too are there greater and lesser punishments (Matthew 10:15; Luke 12:47–8). All of us will one day give an account for our lives (2 Corinthians 5:10).
Seven hundred years ago in Italy a man wrote "Dante's Inferno." The central character explored divine judgment traveling through nine levels of evil in hell covering greed, anger, lust, violence, etc. with the highest level being treachery – the betrayal of relationships.
What inspired Dante's masterpiece? He was grieved by rich, powerful political leaders in 12th century Florence who thought they could lead without personal consequences.
Joe Biden made his way into the Oval Office as a "centrist" committed to "bringing the country together." Once "elected" in a highly suspicious election, his handlers propped him up to do their bidding, becoming the most radical leftist president in U.S. history.
Atop the holocaust of 61 million unborn babies, he promoted taxpayer-funded abortion until birth and subsidized it to the world as a "professing Catholic."
He nullified measures for border security, then declared open borders with free medical care and entitlements resulting in the humanitarian crisis of nearly a million illegals surging across our border (without being tested for COVID). The cartels have had a field day as record levels of drugs have gone to gangs in cities where violent crime has exploded. His irresponsible actions have fostered sex trafficking, rapes, child abuse, abductions and countless lives lost.
Biden has capitulated to Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ proponents; climate change and Green New Deal activists; socialists and wealth redistribution advocates. As gas prices, groceries and inflation rise and our $31 trillion debt skyrockets, does he understand what's going on as America declines?
Blood is on Biden's hands. If you voted for him, do you realize the monumental mistake? We know Kamala Harris would be even worse as she waits in the wings, but maybe God is telling us to take it a step at a time and that now's the time to pray desperately for His intervention.
Here's the deal: It's time for Joe to go. He's diminished and DANGEROUS.
