Joe Biden and son Hunter Biden
Joe Biden boasted of his ability to promote "unity" for the nation during his latest presidential campaign, and even after his election.
But his actions have done anything but, with his support for divisive border procedures, divisive economic plans, divisive court agendas, divisive international actions and more.
But now it's clear where the "unity" campaign went: to a huge majority of Americans who want his son, Hunter Biden, under special counsel investigation.
The poll from TIPP Insights revealed "a shopping 68% of those polled support the appointment of a special counsel."
That included 42% who agreed strongly and 26% who agreed somewhat.
The organization reported 65% of Democrats agreed, 85% of Republicans agreed and 66% of independents agreed.
The question was: "President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, and President Biden's brother, James Biden, are allegedly under federal investigation for tax and financial matters. Do you agree or disagree that Attorney General Merrick Garland should appoint a special counsel to manage their cases independently of the Biden administration?"
Paul Bedard in his Washington Secrets column pointed out, "President Joe Biden hasn’t had much luck or made much of an effort in making good on his call for unity. But his son Hunter has."
The poll, he said, "is bad news for the Bidens."
"Democrats may want to see the Bidens acquitted by an independent counsel to find closure on the issue; Republicans may see the issue as presenting a window of opportunity to study Biden family affairs. Either way, the public has clearly stated they support the appointment of a special counsel," said TIPP.
It was last December, after scandals that included his high-dollar payoffs from a Ukrainian company while his father was vice president and in charge of Ukraine policy for Barack Obama, his China deals that reportedly included payoffs to the "big guy," identified as Joe Biden, details about huge payments from the wife of a Moscow mayor, and more, that Hunter Biden admitted he was already under federal investigation.
"I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney's Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs," he confirmed at the time. "I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors."
Former Attorney General Bill Barr rejected the need for a special counsel, saying it was being handled "responsibly and professionally."
However, since then, Joe Biden moved into the White House, and now he supervises the department that is investigating his son, obviously implicating a conflict of interest.
TechnoMetrica conducted The TIPP Poll, an online survey from March 31 to April 3. The nationwide study had a sample of 1,436 Americans, 18 or older, and TechnoMetrica's network of panel partners provided the study sample. Upon the study completion, TechnoMetrica weighted the study dataset by gender, age, race, education, and geographical region to mirror known benchmarks such as the U.S. Census.
